Dawn's Eye...

Through the shrouded plain
Loomed the wall of willow
Calling upon His name
The stag’s path I did follow

And the dry creek surmised
With mountain tossed to sky
Dawn’s eye threatened to cry
Before my rite could draw nigh

Grasping tufts of grass
Braced ‘gainst the Will of earth
Skyward, my ascent did pass
Whilst my body proved its worth

Draping over the altar of stone
Above fog-shrouded river home
Standing, taken by Self alone
Articles of Arte, Time my own

Crying to the Starry One
And immense Watchers of Lore
Wind ripping with rising Sun
And Athame of Starry Ore

Light of Knowledge, Light of Air
Swirling fog about stellar lair
Eagle rising, currents fair
Fours Winds Master, tempest stare

Hold Ye to compact of Blood
Grant insight and solemn test
Rising smokes of lavender bud
The Eagle flew from east to west
