Locus...

Binding time, Unbinding self
He watches those gathered
Selves of differential goals
Mostly wishing the Work
Without effort unto self
Friendly demon mask
Laughing, snarling, grinning
Pushing, tearing, pulling
Rending the false
To question the true
Approximations
Probabilities
Loose stones in the bridge
The river is not the water
The water is not the ripple
The ripple is not the stone

Heptarchy...

Seven for the seven stars in the sky
Seven for the seven gods and goddesses
Seven for the sigil of the cross and rays
Seven for the seven resilient fortresses
Seven for the seven classic planets
Seven for the seven old continents
Seven for the seven goddess names

Seven for the seven days of the week
Seven for the seven guardians
Seven for the seven bitter seas
Seven for the seven deadly sins
Seven for the seven trees yonder bold
Seven for the seven hues of the bow
Seven for the seven starry sisters

Seven for the seven hidden gates
Seven for the seven faculties
Seven for the seven tines of the rake
Seven for the seven created beings
Seven for the seven ancient wonders afar
Seven for the seven points of the star
Seven for the seven riddled mysteries

Autumn Breeze...

Yes, as weather and leaves turn,
And the chill comes into the air
As we bring in the harvest of our days
Sorting the chaff into the air
We draw the sap into the ground
And discard the summer ways
Raking up the clutter of our youth
And the Summer King’s plays
Sleeping stillness, a silent nod
To our deeper inner self
Preparing plans for the New Year
And storing herbs upon the shelf

Wind Rising...

Closed with intention
Hairs rise on my arms
As the room shimmers about me

Whispering her Name
Death be not proud
The Old One approaches in fog

Senses reeling, but heavy
Coldness fills my belly
Whispering the Name in awe

A few lines managed
Tattered rags weave together
The grey crane’s cry ‘gainst dawn
